Fiona is a Partner at Luxton Architecture with years of experience across multi-residential, commercial and high-end architecture and interior design, spanning some of Melbourne's most respected architecture, interiors and decorating firms.
With a natural instinct for what works, Fiona reads people as much as spaces — listening for the spark in a moment, an object or a throwaway comment that becomes the driving concept behind the entire design. Her process is always tailored to the individual; some clients are tactile, some visual, some auditory, and some want to be involved in every detail while others prefer to trust and be surprised. Fiona reads this instinctively.
Working closely with a trusted network of trades and suppliers, she custom makes and sources products that are unique ensuring every project is resolved with integrity, craft and a singular identity.
James Luxton
Partner
James is an accomplished architect with a knack for understanding clients, leading teams and overseeing projects of all sizes to provide clients with award winning buildings. His hands-on approach allows him to seamlessly navigate between clients, on-site work and office management, ensuring the best outcomes for both client, staff and the company.
James prioritizes sustainability and collective efforts within the firm, striving for excellence in residential, educational and commercial developments while adhering to programmatic, financial, and statutory constraints. His experience includes lecturing and tutoring at prestigious institutions like the Melbourne School of Design and Ormond College, in addition to his senior associate role at Hayball.
